There's a scenario editor but it's rather unintuitive to use and uses a workaround based on Excel. For one, Umberto might be great at showing processes and integrating both the ecoinvent and the GaBi database but what it's really lacking in is being able to calculate based on different scenarios. It's important to understand limitations of each software. It's more akin to using Excel - which isn't too bad either, especially if you want something highly customised. ![]() Another popular software to look into is openLCA which is a great tool for a lot of reasons but it lacks in visualisation as it doesn't have a model of all processes, it works more like a chart. I can't speak for SimaPro or GaBi as I have yet to use it. What's good about it is probably how easy it is to learn and how it helps you visualise everything. I also work at my uni, training students on the software and using it for research projects. ![]() ![]() I used Umberto for years now when I started out initially learning it in uni class, later down the line using it for my bachelor's thesis and part of it will also be used on my master's thesis. ![]()
